Here are your Chelsea evening headlines for Tuesday, February 9.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich could be ready to fund the £37million signing of Dayot Upamecano.
According to BILD, Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in pulling off a deal for the RB Leipzig centre-back, and fresh reports claim that, not only does Thomas Tuchel want Upamecano, but Blues owner Abramovich is ready to fund the deal.
Upamecano is available for £37million with a release clause ensuring the only thing RB Leipzig could do to keep their star defender would be to offer him a new deal.
But with so many of Europe’s top clubs interested, the centre-back is likely to be playing elsewhere in the summer.

The question for Chelsea will be whether they can convince Upamecano to agree to join them ahead of the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
What’s next for Zouma?
Aside from Frank Lampard’s final two matches in charge of Chelsea, Kurt Zouma was one of his trusted lieutenants in the Blues backline and a constant for the former manager in defence
Zouma had started – and finished – 15 games for the Blues in the Premier League, four of six Champions League group games and two cup games for Lampard as he established a partnership with Thiago Silva that looked relatively solid, if not spectacular.
When Lampard was fighting for his job ahead of the FA Cup victory over Morecambe, Zouma played the full 90 minutes as the manager went strong to search for a much-needed confidence boost.
After the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City that started the road slide to the sack for Lampard, Zouma featured against Luton in the FA Cup fifth round but hasn’t played since then.
Antonio Rudiger was surprisingly brought back in from the cold for Lampard’s final two Premier League matches at Fulham and Leicester and has yet to play for new head coach…
