Chelsea not keen to give up on Kepa Arrizabalaga just yet » Chelsea News

Well, as you’d absolutely imagine, after the huge fee they paid for him, Chelsea do not want to give up on Kepa Arrizabalaga just yet.

Chelsea signed Kepa in August 2018 for a fee of £71 million (per the BBC).

It was the highest ever fee paid for a Goalkeeper, and Chelsea’s club record signing. So as you can imagine, the latest article from The Telegraph regarding his situation was far from shocking to read.

They say that Kepa is expected to start against Barnsley in the FA Cup tomorrow night, and that the Spanish international may be given a second chance at the club, or at least that is what the board are pushing.

Clearly they do not want to admit defeat in the ridiculous money paid for Kepa, who has been far from a good signing for Chelsea.

Marina Granovskaia had talks with Kepa over the summer to offer him support and comfort as he was going through a tough time, which of course is great.

But I am afraid that it will be best for us, and for him, if he moved on now and tries to rebuild his career elsewhere.
