Thomas Tuchel has admitted that he could make ‘a lot of changes’ for Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Barnsley on Thursday.
The German has got off to an unbeaten start at Stamford Bridge, since replacing Frank Lampard as manager earlier this year.
Chelsea make the trip to Oakwell looking to make the quarter final, with Tuchel claiming he has ambitions on winning his first trophy as Blues boss.
“If we play in any competition, we play to win it,” he said in his pre-match press conference. “So every round in any cup competition is the most important round. This is an elimination game and we have to be totally focused, totally on point tomorrow when the match starts, and ready to finish with a win. This is the absolute desire.”

On potential rotation, Tuchel added: “There is a high possibility we see a lot of changes. First of all, everybody who is on the pitch tomorrow deserves to be on the pitch. So there will be guys tomorrow who suffered a little bit from my decisions in the last few games.
“And for us, it’s the third away match in a row. We don’t want to lose attention, awareness, and intensity in our game.
“So this is the moment for us to have fresh legs and fresh minds on the pitch, and to have the full intensity needed to secure this win. This is what we aim for.”
Kepa has replaced Mendy for their FA Cup run
Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to be given another chance in goal after impressing in the earlier rounds of the competition.
In defence, Thiago Silva is ruled out through injury, while Andreas Christensesn, Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma called all be in line for starts.
Tuchel has all but confirmed that they will once again line-up in a 3-4-2-1 position, also revealing that N’Golo Kante will start for the first time under his leadership.
