Chelsea fans can finally get their Raphael Guerreiro wish as Dortmund transfer stance revealed

Chelsea fans could finally get their transfer wish this summer.

Raphael Guerreiro has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool and caught Chelsea supporters’ eyes when the Bundesliga returned to action before the Premier League in May after the initial outbreak of the coronavirus.

With no other football on at the time, Chelsea supporters, like fans of many other clubs, took to watching the action in Germany and made their minds up about potential transfer signings.

Jadon Sancho was the main interest of Blues fans back then, but when he did not start games for Borussia Dortmund when the Bundesliga returned, Chelsea fans latched onto Guerreiro instead, following some impressive displays.

“Chelsea to sign Guerreiro” and “I want Chelsea to sign Guerreiro” were just two of a number of quotes from fans on Twitter.

But any move for him is likely to rely on new boss Thomas Tuchel wanting another let-back or allowing one of the three he already has one his books to leave to free up space for another.

Tuchel already has Emerson Palmieri, Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell on his books in west London, although Guerreiro is more familiar with the wing-back role that Tuchel likes to play than potentially Chilwell or Emerson.

And should Chelsea be interested they have been handed a boost by the news that Dortmund could be willing to sell this summer.
