Kepa Arrizabalaga warns Chelsea over Atletico Madrid star ahead of Champions League clash

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has warned his teammates over the threat of Atletico Madrid marksman Luis Suarez.

The Blues face Atletico in Bucharest on Tuesday in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg, and they face quite the challenge with Diego Simeone’s men currently top of La Liga.

Chelsea are in fine form themselves, six unbeaten ahead of a Premier League clash with Southampton, winning five of those games in what has been a fine start for Thomas Tuchel.

But even so, Atletico will provide quite the litmus test, carving themselves out as the best La Liga has to offer this season, six points ahead with a game in hand heading into Saturday’s action.

And a key part of their form has been former Liverpool and Barcelona striker Luis Suarez, who is the top scorer in La Liga with 16 goals so far this season.

The veteran frontman has been devastating since his free move from Barcelona in the summer, and he is now preparing to face an old foe in Chelsea.

And ahead of that game, Chelsea goalkeeper Arrizabalaga has warned his teammates they must fine a way to stop the Uruguayan frontman.

“Luis Suarez has had many years scoring goals, many years creating danger for Liverpool, Barca, Ajax, Atletico Madrid,” said the goalkeeper on radio show COPE.

“He is a player we have to try to cut out.”
