Thomas Tuchel has made three changes to his Chelsea side for tonight’s Premier League game against Liverpool.
The Blues have the opportunity to move back into the Champions League positions if they avoid a defeat at Anfield, a ground at which they’ve not won since 2014.
Edouard Mendy starts in goal as expected and is protected by a back three of Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger.
Thiago Silva, as expected, misses the game but it’s hoped the Brazilian will be fit to return to the squad against Everton on Monday.
Tuchel has made two surprise choices in the wing-back roles. Reece James on the right while Ben Chiwell keeps his spot on the left. Marcos Alonso is on the bench.

In midfield, N’Golo Kante continues after an impressive performance from the Frenchman in the goalless draw against Manchester United.
He will be partnered in the middle by Jorginho. The Italian replaces Mateo Kovacic, who drops to the bench.
Tuchel has sprung another surprise in his attack. Hakim Ziyech, despite a mixed display against United, has maintained his place in the starting XI.
Mason Mount starts yet again while Timo Werner is back in the side and will be looking to score only his second goal since November 8 in the Premier League.
There is no Tammy Abraham in the squad as he is nursing an ankle problem.
