Hello and welcome along to football.london’s live coverage of the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
After battling their way through their respective groups as group winners, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have all successfully come through the first knockout stage of the competition with minimal fuss.
Chelsea got the better of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, winning 3-0 on aggregate over the course of the two legs, winning 1-0 in the first-leg and then wrapping up the tie with a 2-0 win in the second-leg at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
Liverpool and City, meanwhile, each made light work of German duo RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach, winning their respective ties 4-0 on aggregate.
Jurgen Klopp’s side, who won the competition back in 2019, won both legs against Leipzig 2-0, whilst City followed suit against Monchengladbach, keeping their hopes of a first-ever Champions League crown alive.
The English trio will be joined in the last-eight by five other big-name clubs, including German heavyweights Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Unlike in the Round-of-16, the quarter-finals of the Champions League can see anyone pitted up against anyone, meaning it is possible that one all-English tie could be drawn. As well as the draw for the last-eight being done, the semi-final draw will be carried out straight afterwards.
The four quarter-final ties will be assigned a number from one to four and then those ties will be drawn in a separate pot to determine the two semi-finals.
The draw is poised to get going at 11am UK time and you can follow it all as it happens on our live blog below.
