Every word Thomas Tuchel said on Real Madrid, N’Golo Kante, injuries and Chelsea’s self-belief

Chelsea women made the Champions League final, you could too, have you spoken to her yet?

Not yet, we were totally focused on our game against Madrid, then Fulham and now against Madrid.

But of course we followed it on TV, and it’s a big achievement.

So we are very happy because in the end it’s one club and it’s a big thing to arrive in the final, the first time for the Chelsea Women, and hopefully they can finish the job.

So big, big congratulations from us.

You must have big confidence and belief after the first leg in Spain?

The best thing is that they really feel it, and they did it during the first-half. I think we all together felt we could be stronger in the second-half.

We rested some players, and now we have three days in between, so the challenge will be to keep the intensity going throughout the whole match.

It is important, it’s a semi-final, the pressure’s on, it’s a knockout game.

It’s the second leg, the decisive one, so to arrive with a certain level of belief and self-confidence is absolutely necessary. Otherwise we have no chance against a team like Real Madrid. It does not help so much if your coach is talking about it, we need to really feel it.

If I talk about it it’s only because I’m sure they feel it, and we can see it in the games, that the team is self-aware and able to produce performances, then they are also aware of the challenge ahead of us.

It’s the best feeling to arrive with an almost full squad, in good shape, with a good performance and an okay result in the first-leg.

So everything is open now for the second leg.

I’m very happy that we could beat Fulham in between so we have nothing to worry about, nothing to regret. Now’s the moment today to enjoy training and be ready tomorrow.

Christian Pulisic in fine form and has taken the number ten shirt from Eden Hazard…

Absolutely it’s a good thing, this…
