Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is once again the focus of attention with just a year remaining on his current Juventus deal.

The 36-year-old will play what could be his final international tournament this summer at the European Championships before staying just one more year in one of Europe’s top 5 leagues.

According to Portuguese media outlet Record, Ronaldo is said to want the return to Sporting Lisbon as has been previously noted.

However, Record reveals that his family support the decision and that the former Manchester United man wants to continue playing into his 40s.

Santos prepared to advise Ronaldo

Portugal coach Fernando Santos was asked in a recent interview whether he would give advice to Ronaldo about his future.

The winner of Euro 2016 said that he would always help where he could having coached him since he was 18.

“I give advice to Cristiano personally. I was his head coach when he was 18, and we have a close relationship. We talk a lot, but these are private conversations between friends,” said Santos.
