Eden Hazard was back at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
For the very first time since leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, the Belgium international played on the pitch he used to call home in the Champions League semi-final second leg tie.
However, unlike many times before, Hazard wasn’t able to light up the Bridge and inspire his side to victory.
Goals in either half from Timo Werner and Mason Mount were enough for a dominant Chelsea to beat Los Blancos 2-0 and set up an all-English Champions League final against Manchester City later this month.
The one small consolation for Hazard was that he was able to get 89 minutes under his belt on what was his fourth successive appearance since returning from injury.
However, what he did at the final whistle has caused quite a stir back in Spain.
Whilst the majority of the Real Madrid squad cut unhappy, dejected figures, Hazard didn’t appear to be too upset at losing a Champions League semi-final.
Instead, he seemed delighted for his former club and teammates, as he was laughing and joking on the Stamford Bridge turf.
Hazard was captured by the BT Sport cameras sharing a joke and smiling with Blues centre-back Kurt Zouma and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

But not everyone has seen the funny side to this.
In fact, it’ safe to say one particular presenter from a Spanish media outlet has had enough of Hazard and has suggested that the 30-year-old should be up for sale.
As per @MadridXtra, the presenter on El Chiringuito TV delivered the following verdict:
“Hazard at the end of the game is unacceptable. We are angry, we don’t understand him. He can not stay at Real Madrid for another second.”
The footage has been shared widely on social media following the result, with many fans enjoying…
