Azpilicueta risks backlash
It has been mere weeks since Eden Hazard was criticised by Real Madrid fans after being caught smiling and laughing with his former Chelsea teammates after losing to the Blues in the Champions league semi-finals.
Spanish media did not hold back in their criticism of the player.
“Hazard can’t continue at Real Madrid one second longer!”

Chelsea has risked the wrath of its own fan base after releasing an interview with club captain Cesar Azpilicueta where he too is seen smiling and even chuckling speaking about the fallout to the game and the impending Champions League final.
“It’s hard to take but in less than three days we are back and playing again, so we have to recover and go for it. Tuesday is a massive game for our Champions League qualification,” he said.
“We are in a position where everything is in our hands and now is the moment, the last week of the Premier League. We want to be in the top four and qualify for the Champions League and we have to show it on the pitch.”

Similar to Real Madrid supporters, Chelsea fans replied to the tweet with criticisms of the Spaniard’s demeaner in the interview.
We aren’t winning these days because this guy is our captain. Not a true captain.
