England vs Croatia
Euro 2020 is set to get underway later this week with the first tie taking place on Friday, June 11th.
England will kick off their tournament two days later with a clash vs Croatia at Wembley on Sunday.
England have been drawn in Group D along with Sunday’s opponents Croatia, Scotland and the Czech Republic.
On paper, you would say that Croatia, who beat England in the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup, are the Three Lions’ toughest opponent from the group phase.
So, earning all three points this weekend will no doubt set Gareth Southgate and co. up nicely to go on and top their group.
Harry Maguire working alone
Ahead of their first Euro 2020 game, England players have been out training at St George’s Park on Wednesday.
The training session would be broadcast live on England’s social media channels.
In the training session, which took place outside, only 25 of the 26-man squad were present.
The one absentee was Harry Maguire, who England say was continuing work in the gym:

Said news suggests that it will be unlikely we see Maguire lining out for England’s Euro 2020 opener vs Croatia.
This does leave Gareth Southgate with a bit of a selection headache at centre-back.
John Stones does look nailed on to start, but who will partner him with Maguire still seemingly not up to fitness?
Tyrone Mings did start both of England’s recent friendlies, but his displays were less than impressive. So, could we instead see Ben White, who has replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold in England’s 26-man squad, handed just his second-ever start on Sunday?
