Chelsea and Manchester United on alert as Bayern Munich make Kinglsey Coman transfer decision

Bayern Munich have reportedly called off negotiations over a new contract with Kingsley Coman.

The 24-year-old winger is still a key player with the Bundesliga giants and they are supposedly keen on reaching an agreement with the Frenchman.

However, according to Sport1, via the Mirror, Bayern have called talks off with his agent Pini Zahavi after he asked for an annual salary increase of £6.9million for his client.

Coman has just over two years remaining on his deal at the Allianz Arena, which has seen him linked with a move to Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United this summer.

German news outlet BILD reported at the weekend that Coman had told his agent Zahavi to approach Premier League clubs over a potential summer move with his contract situation uncertain.

With Man United seemingly preferring the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, this could be a huge transfer boost for the Blues if they were to make a move for the France international in the coming months.

The winger chipped in with 23 direct goal involvements throughout the 2020/21 season – scoring eight goals and providing 15 assists to help Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga by 13 clear points.

The summer window is officially open and now the Blues can look to build on European glory and bolster the squad to push for Premier League supremacy.
