After a superb season where his 7 goals and 10 assists from right wing back helped fire Inter Milan to the title, Achraf Hakimi is a man in demand.
Football Insider claim that PSG and Chelsea have both offered £56.1m to Inter, but the Italians are holding out for £68.8m – a jump of £29m compared to the price they paid Real Madrid last year.
Inter are in financial trouble however, and both the interested parties may want to just call their bluff and hold out for later in the summer when the Milanese club’s resolve may waver.
There’s certainly no point them outbidding each other constantly. Especially considering Chelsea’s strength in Hakimi’s position already, both in the first team and the youth team, overpaying for a player from a club that may need to sell later this summer would be madness.
The question of part-exchanges is always raised – and for once that could work out for us considering Inter’s issues.
