Jadon Sancho has named Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as his England hero when he was growing up.
Sancho is set to represent the Three Lions at the Euros, with his country’s opening game against Croatia on Sunday afternoon.
However, the future of the 21-year-old is the topic on everyone’s lips at the moment, with the Borussia Dortmund man reportedly wanted by both the Blues and Manchester United.
The latter, United, have reportedly had a £69million bid turned down for Sancho, with Dortmund demanding £77m + £4m add-ons, according to reports.

But the Blues have also been linked with a sensational move for Sancho – and judging by his recent comments, he has a lot of love for the west London club.
Sancho admitted that Lampard was his “England hero” when he was a child and also revealed that he supported Chelsea when he was young.
“My England hero? I’d probably say Frank Lampard. I was a Chelsea fan growing up, I’m not going to lie,” the England international admitted, via talkSPORT.
“Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard were my favourite players at the time. I just loved Frank Lampard, how he played his game, he was so direct and so composed on the ball. I liked things like that.”
The summer window is officially open and now the Blues can look to build on European glory and bolster the squad to push for Premier League supremacy.
