Kylian Mbappe’s telling reaction to Olivier Giroud goal after France star left ‘livid’

The feud between Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud has reared its ugly head after the PSG striker gave a telling reaction to the latter’s goal against Bulgaria.

France played their final warm-up game ahead of Euro 2020, for which they are favourites, by easing to a 3-0 win over the Eastern Europeans at the Stade de France.

Giroud scored twice, with his first coming when he poked a cross from the right past visiting goalkeeper Daniel Naumov.

But rather than the Chelsea striker’s clinical finish, it was Mbappe’s muted reaction to his team-mate’s goal that drew the eye of many onlookers.

As Giroud reeled away in celebration, Mbappe showed no reaction and simply turned around to take his place in his own half for the restart.

The feud continued after the game, with Giroud, who is no just five goals away from breaking Thierry Henry’s goalscoring record for France, revealing he was unhappy with the service provided to him.

The 34-year-old appeared to call out his striker partner for not passing to him enough.

“Sometimes you make the runs and the ball is not arriving. Perhaps we could have found each other better, there it is,” he said after the game.
