Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland made it clear to Manchester United that he would not be interested in a move to Old Trafford.
The Sun report that United spoke to the highly-sought striker’s representatives but were told he has ‘his heart set’ on a transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Real, however, face a multitude of financial problems brought by the club’s £693.3million renovation of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium and are unlikely to muster up the funds to acquire Haaland this summer.
The 20-year-old has attracted attention from a number of English clubs including Chelsea, who are one of the few sides able to match the £154.4million price tag for the Norwegian talent.

Premier League winners Manchester City are also keeping track of Haaland’s situation with Pep Guardiola looking to bring in a natural-born finisher after the recent departure of Sergio Aguero.
Guardiola’s side finished the season 12-points clear at the top of the table while falling short in the Champions League final, but their lack of a main man up top was glaringly obvious at times last season.
Haaland registered a mind-boggling 41 goals and 12 assists across 41 appearances in all competitions last season.
He is currently one of Europe’s most coveted players due to his age and unrelenting ruthlessness in front of goal.
