France striker Kylian Mbappe was reportedly left unconvinced by Olivier Giroud’s comments in the build-up to Euro 2020.
Les Bleus comfortably beat Bulgaria 3-0 earlier in the week, with Giroud coming off the bench to score a brace late on.
However, the Chelsea striker was frustrated about the amount of passes he received from his team-mates – and the comments reportedly left Mbappe furious.
After France’s victory over Bulgaria, Giroud said: “Sometimes you make the runs and ball is not arriving. Perhaps we could have found each other better, there it is.”
According to RMC Sport, the Paris Saint-Germain star wanted to call a press conference to talk about Giroud’s comments, but France boss Didier Deschamps was not so keen on the matter ahead of the Euros.

The same French outlet are reporting that Giroud tried to make things better with Mbappe by apologising to his international team-mate at training, but he was left unconvinced.
Giroud apparently said that his post-match comments ‘ran away with him’ and that they were directed at a number of players.
Deschamps is said to have called a meeting between his two forwards to try and solve the issue. As well as this, the France boss supposedly held a meeting with the whole squad – with the instruction to move on being the main subject.
After the squad meeting, Giroud reportedly hugged Mbappe after assisting him twice in a training match.
Manchester United and France star Paul Pogba has also now responded to the rumours of a rift within the camp, but the midfielder played the talk down.
